Is Work Safely at Heights Awareness a nationally accredited course?
No. This is non-accredited training. It is mapped to the following unit(s) of competency so the content lines up with what a Registered Training Organisation assesses: RIIWHS204E — Work safely at heights (awareness only — accredited delivery requires an RTO). You receive a certificate of completion from 3rd Eye Australia, not a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. To gain the accredited qualification you must be assessed by an RTO.
How long does Work Safely at Heights Awareness take to complete?
Allow around 5 hours. The course is entirely self-paced, so you do not have to finish it in one sitting. Your progress saves automatically and you can log back in and pick up exactly where you left off, on any device.
How much does it cost and is GST included?
The course is $49.99 AUD, and that price includes GST. You pay once per student enrolment by card at checkout, and a tax receipt is emailed to you. Work-related training is generally tax deductible in Australia. Employers enrolling several staff can contact us at admin@3rdeyeaustralia.com.au about bulk enrolment codes.
What certificate do I get when I finish?
When you complete every lesson and pass the assessment, a PDF certificate of completion is generated straight away. It shows your name, the course name, your assessment result, the date of completion, a unique serial number for audit purposes, and the signature of our director Sam Stenberg. You can download and print it any time from My learning, and anyone can confirm it is genuine using the certificate number on our verification page.
What score do I need to pass the assessment?
You need 100%. That sounds tough, but you are not sent back to the start if you get something wrong. Correct answers are locked in and you only retry the questions you missed, as many times as you need. You can also open the course slides while you are answering, so the assessment is there to make sure the information actually sticks rather than to catch you out.
Can I complete the course on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The course runs in a normal web browser on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, and there is nothing to install. Your progress saves as you go, so you can start on your phone at smoko and finish on a computer later. A stable internet connection is recommended, especially for video lessons.
Will my employer accept this certificate?
Many Australian employers accept non-accredited awareness training as evidence that a worker has covered the underpinning knowledge, and the certificate is designed to be printed and filed for auditing. It does not replace a licence, a Statement of Attainment, or a site-specific induction or verification of competency. If the certificate is for a compliance requirement, check with your employer or site before enrolling.
