How AVA works
Ask in your own words
Type the question the way you'd say it out loud. No jargon needed — AVA works out what you mean.
Get a plain-English answer
Short explanations, real Australian workplace examples, and translation into the language you think in.
Practise until it sticks
Ask for practice questions and revision help before you sit the assessment. AVA never gives you assessment answers.
You can ask AVA to:
- Explain workplace safety concepts in plain English.
- Break down difficult terminology.
- Create practice questions and quizzes.
- Give real Australian workplace examples.
- Help you revise before assessments.
- Translate explanations into simpler language.
- Answer in your own language — 17 languages supported — while keeping Australian safety terms in English so you learn them too.
AVA is designed to support your learning and guide you through your training journey.
Available 24/7
Study at night, on a break or on the weekend — AVA answers straight away, no waiting for a trainer to come back to you.
Plain English, or your language
AVA explains safety concepts simply and can translate the explanation into the language you think in.
Practice, not answers
Ask for practice questions, worked examples and revision help. AVA never hands over assessment answers.
Australian sources
AVA works from a trainer-approved reference library of Australian WHS law, codes of practice and regulator guidance.
Written and put together by people who've done the job
AVA's learning support and interview prep questions are built and put together by a collective of professionals backing 3rd Eye Australia's mission — to better prepare the up-and-coming workforce. We believe the people who genuinely want the position, who want to build the economy and are willing to put in the effort, should have the best resources at their fingertips. Human resources, WHS, emergency response, mining, construction, security, trades, hospitality and care — their experience sits behind every answer AVA gives you.

WHS professional
Duty of care, risk assessment, SWMS and how the WHS Act actually applies to your job.

Human resources
Interview practice, resumes, inductions, and knowing your rights and responsibilities at work.

Emergency response
Evacuation roles, extinguisher choice, alarms and what a warden does when the tone sounds.

Construction worker
Site rules, exclusion zones, working at heights and what a White Card really covers.

Forklift operator
Load charts, stability triangle, pre-start checks and high risk work licence prep.

Mine worker
Site lingo, permits, isolation, and what to expect on your first swing underground or open cut.

Aged care & healthcare
Manual handling, infection control, incident reporting and speaking up safely.

Hospitality
Slips and spills, glass and knife handling, late shifts and dealing with difficult patrons.

Security officer
Gate and access control, patrols, incident reports, conflict de-escalation and lone worker safety.

Confined space worker
Permits, atmospheric testing, standby person duties, rescue plans and when not to enter.

Tradesperson
Isolation and tag-out, test and tag, tool and ladder safety, and job safety analysis before you start.
AVA is one AI tutor drawing on material written and reviewed by our trainers and contributing professionals across these trades and professions — the people pictured are illustrative, not individual staff. AVA is a study aid, not legal, medical or industrial-relations advice.
Practise the job interview before you sit in it
Getting the ticket is only half of it — you still have to get through the interview. Switch AVA to Interview practice and she runs a mock interview for the role you're chasing: entry-level mining, construction and civil, forklift and warehouse, fire warden, heights, confined space, or stepping up to supervisor.
AVA asks one question at a time from a bank put together by our collective of professionals — the real safety and behavioural questions Australian sites and labour hire actually ask. You answer, and she tells you what was good, what to fix, and a stronger answer you could give. Practise it in your own language first, then do it again in English until it sounds natural.
Real questions, not generic ones
Written by experienced professionals from human resources, mining, construction, security and more — sorted by the role you're going for, and the way Australian worksites actually ask them.
Feedback after every answer
What was strong, what to change, and a model answer using STAR you can practise.
Safety answers that hold up
Anything about WHS law is checked against our reference library before she says it.
Practise in your language
Coaching in 17 languages while the Australian safety terms stay in English.
Interview practice is coaching only. It is not an assessment, it isn't a guarantee of employment, and each question you ask counts towards your membership's fair-use allowance.
Membership options
AVA is an optional add-on to your training — your courses, assessments and certificates work exactly the same without it.
Membership options are being updated — email admin@3rdeyeaustralia.com.au and our team will sort you out.
Set and forget, or pay once
Monthly and annual memberships can renew automatically so your support never lapses mid-course. Prefer a one-off payment? Switch auto-renew off at checkout, or cancel it later from My learning — you keep access until the term you've paid for ends.
Run out of questions? Top up.
One-off question packs can be added to an active membership at any time.
Question limits and fair use — full disclosure
- Memberships are sold as a set access period — 7 days, 30 days or 365 days from the day you join.
- A fair-use cap of 40 questions per day applies to every membership, so support stays fast and available for all learners.
- Where a plan includes a set number of questions, that allowance covers the whole membership term. Once it is used, you can add a one-off question top-up pack, or move up to a bigger membership, at any time.
- Included questions are not refundable and don't roll over. If you use your allowance or hit the daily cap, AVA pauses until your next day, top-up or renewal.
- Every membership covers both WHS tutoring and interview practice — switch AVA between the two with the toggle in the chat window.
- Memberships can be set to renew automatically. You can cancel auto-renew any time from My learning and keep access until the term you've paid for ends.
- One membership covers one learner. Memberships can't be shared between employees or accounts.
- A question means one message you send to AVA. Follow-up messages in the same conversation each count as a question.
- AVA supports your learning only — she never completes assessments or supplies assessment answers.
- If a cap is reached, AVA lets you know straight away. Your course access, assessments and certificates are never affected.
Why not just use a free AI chatbot?
General AI tools are impressive, but they aren't built for Australian work health and safety training — and they don't know anything about the course you're sitting. Here's the practical difference.
AVA uses the same class of AI technology behind the tools you already know — the difference is what she's pointed at: your course, Australian WHS material our trainers have approved, and rules that protect the integrity of your assessment.
AVA vs a private one-on-one tutor
Private one-on-one tutoring in Australia typically costs $40–$120 per hour — university students at the lower end, experienced specialist tutors at the upper end. AVA is available the moment you need it, for a fraction of a single session.
Private tutor
per hour
- Booked in advance, fixed time slots
- Rarely available nights or on shift
- General tutoring — not WHS or mine-site specific
- One language, one tutor
- $400–$1,200 for 10 hours of help
Tutoring rates are indicative Australian market rates for private one-on-one tutoring and vary by tutor, location and subject. AVA is a learning support tool, not a replacement for a qualified trainer or assessor — your assessments are still marked against the course requirements.
